CFL’ Luxury vinyl Tiles division has recently been mentioned in Floor Daily and PR Newswire for the quality and sustainability of its products.

The purpose of the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) set forth

in the USGBC LEED Rating System is to enhance indoor air quality in buildings and to reduce indoor air contaminants that are detrimental to human health.  To achieve the LEED IEQ credit 4.3: Low-Emitting Materials, all hard surface flooring installed in the building interior must meet the requirements of the FloorScore standard or demonstrate VOC concentrations lower than or equal to health standards.  This credit is available in LEED rating systems New Construction, Commercial Interior, Core and Shell, Homes, Healthcare, Schools, Existing Buildings.

The FloorScore program, developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) in conjunction with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), tests and certifies resilient flooring products for compliance with the volatile organic compound emissions criteria of the California Section 01350 program.  Floors bearing the FloorScore seal are recognized as contributing to good indoor air quality in order to protect human health.
